Best Burgers in Maricopa County
We all love a burger fresh from the grill on the fourth of July. The art of creating a great hamburger is alive and well here in the valley, and here’s a list of some of the most advanced and innovative works of art in the field that you can find right here in the valley.
Lalo Burger @ Crescent Ballroom
Known for being a great music venue, Crescent is also home to Cocina 10, which is more than just a kitchen attached to a bar. Their locally sourced menu was developed by Chris Bianco, and their Lalo Burger is ½ lb. of angus beef, which is cut and ground in house daily, mixed with Mama Gomez’s secret spices and topped with tillamook cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, sautéed onions and anaheim peppers on an artisan bun. On the side, they tack on house made potato chips, which you can dip in a chipotle aioli. Add in a decent beer selection, and what more could you ask for? Crescent Ballroom is in downtown Phoenix at 308 N. 2nd Ave, one block west of the Van Buren light rail station.
Aioli Burger @ Aioli Burger food truck
This one may be a bit trickier to find, because they post up in several places all around the valley, but if you have the opportunity, be sure to take it. The food truck movement is in full force here in Maricopa County, and Aioli Burger (the truck’s) signature Aioli Burger makes them easily one of the best food trucks around. Served with aged sharp cheddar, applewood bacon, onion jam, and lettuce, tomato, red onion, and topped with roasted garlic aioli, this one’s sure to be a mainstay in the area. PB&B Burger @ Welcome Diner
Feeling a bit more adventurous? This one is the strangest sounding burger on the list, but certainly still among the most delicious. It’s got crunchy peanut butter, smoked bacon, pickles, sharp cheddar cheese, and beef, and believe it or not, somehow it really does work. The beef is always juicy and perfectly cooked, and the mixture of flavors is intense, but worth the venture. For the more timid, try their Welcome Burger, which is just as juicy and delicious. You can find the diner, which also wins for most unique ambiance, at 924 E. Roosevelt Street in downtown Phoenix.
