Our best teeth series is back with a brand new edition featuring 90’s bands! The 90’s were filled with questionable fashion, music from all types of genres, and many other cultural things that might be best left in the past. Here is a list of our favorite 90’s bands who had excellent smiles.
New Kids on the Block
In the 90’s NKOTB was a teenage heartthrob band consisting of Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. This boy band started in the 1980’s and lasted until 1995, when they broke up. NKOTB have since reunited and continues to be a band of heartthrobs to every fan. Apart from their musical success of selling over 80 million records worldwide, they also have winning smiles to be proud of.
No Doubt is a ska punk/new wave band that first formed in 1986, but didn’t hit commercial success until their 1995 album Tragic Kingdom. The lead single from this album, Don’t Speak, broke records and stayed at number 1 on the Billboard 100 for 16 weeks. While their music is different, their success has been steady throughout breakups and reunions over the year. Their smiles have also been admired by many.

If you are a girl who was raised in the 90’s, there’s no doubt this band was your favorite at some point. They are a British girl group, formed in 1994, and consists of Baby Spice (Emma Bunton), Scary Spice (Mel B), Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell), Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm), and Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham). Their first album, Spice, was a smash hit selling over 30 million worldwide. They continued to sell over 80 million records throughout their career and hold the title as most successful girl group of all time. Some of their classic anthems include Wannabe, Say You’ll Be There, and Spice up Your Life.
The Beastie Boys, formed in 1981, were a hip-hop band who saw success in the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. The group released their debut album in 1986 after a successful tour opening up for Madonna. For most of their career, Beastie Boys was made up of Mike D, MCA, and Ad-Rock. With hits like No Sleep Till Brooklyn, Brass Monkey, and Girls, they hold the title of being one of the longest-running hip-hop acts.
Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams make up what we know as the super girl group, Destiny’s Child. Destiny’s Child formed in 1990 and hit commercial success in 1999 with the release of their second album: The Writing’s On the Wall. This album contains some of their best known songs like Bills, Bills, Bills, Say My Name, and Bug a Boo. Since their 2006 disbandment, Beyonce has released 16 albums, Kelly has released 9, and Michelle has released 5.
